His passion is volunteering and helping his local community. He volunteered and organized many successful fundraiser events for various non-profit organizations. Roger enjoys reading, music, playing guitar, and cycling.


Helen Nam

Country Program Director, Helen Nam

Helen is a successful financial executive for Fortune 500 and technology companies. As a world traveler, Helen developed a keen understanding and insight into the needs for educational opportunities as a means of empowering people. Helen is the founder of the Community Girls Middle School Project. Through her efforts, girls in the village of Minawar, Pakistan now have options beyond traditional marriage at very young ages. These young women now have the opportunity to continue their education.


Mumtaz Alam

Field Director and President of Outliers Pakistan Gilgit-Baltistan CDO, Mumtaz Alam

Mr. Alam has lived his entire life in Pakistan. His varied experience includes work as a High School teacher, a self-employed Tour/ Trekking Organizer, and a Government Services employee. Mr. Alam runs day-to-day operations of the Community Girls Middle School Project and has been an Outliers Field Director since 2011.



Matthew Seo

Matthew is a finance professional in the tech industry in Silicon Valley. He seeks to make a difference both at home and abroad. Matthew also teaches 3 year olds, serves on the finance committee at Great Exchange Covenant Church and has an MBA in Finance from Cornell University.
